Question of the Day, 10/1 …
Is there a list of Angels who have options and/or being lost to free agency? — @_Neat
I can give you one right here …
Free agents: SP Zack Greinke, OF Torii Hunter, INF Maicer Izturis, RP LaTroy Hawkins, RP Jason Isringhausen
Club options: SP Dan Haren ($15.5M; $3.5M buyout), SP Ervin Santana ($13M; $1M)
Mutual option: C Chris Iannetta ($5M; $250K buyout)
– Alden

I would start on Greinke right now to resign him, offer Torii 1 year + an option for about $10m a year (I think he would take it). I would release the other 3 free agents (Andrew Romine is a younger version of Izturis).
I would talk to Haren and Santana about coming back for less money with extra years. I believe Haren would take it (say 3 years at $8-11mil). Not sure on Santana, but since he is only 29, I could see offering him 4 year with an option for about the same. If they can bring all these 5 starters back, I would like our chances next season.
Depending on what they think of Conger, they should pick up Iannetta’s contract. He wasn’t great, but he tended to be clutch, especially earning walks to turn the lineup back over to Trout with 2 outs or late in games.
One other thing I would do. Send Kendrys to winterball and see if he can play 3rd base at an ok level, while having Trumbo maybe continue to learn the position. Gives them more options if he can, and I no Morales played 3rd for Cuba.
Greinke (keep) Torii (keep) the others (pass).
